We dedicate ourselves to be the vital link between the community of McKenzie County with emergency services while maintaining professionalism, quality, and integrity.

We shall maintain at all times an effective standard to provide professional courtesy and empathy to all callers/visitors of McKenzie County.

To have an understanding that the caller or visitor may be under stress and scared.  They may not be aware of the information that we need and why we are asking for it, or how busy we are at the time.

We strive to gather information and dispatch calls with diligence, speed, accuracy, and professionalism to ensure the safety of ALL law enforcement and other emergency agencies.  We accomplish this with the highest standards of performance, integrity, and respect.

On duty officers first heard shots at 1:05 a.m. as they patrolled what is normally a safe and lively part of Dayton just before local bars shut down. Within approximately 20 seconds, six officers were running toward the hail of bullets.
